How to manage time is not necessarily something each of us learn on our own or a skill that we are born with.  Sometimes we all need help learning the valuable life skill of time management.

One step in learning time management is to understand that we have, for example, 2 hours of time to get our work done, eat dinner and take a shower.  Then we need to be able to estimate how long each of these activities will take so we can determine if we have time to watch tv before getting to homework.

I started using Epic Win with my son last year to help him visualize all his after school (or weekend) tasks.  I love this app and so does he!  It is a robust task manager app but incorporates a little gaming to entertain the kids, tweens AND teens.  (Heck, I’ve seen reviews of this app from adults who use it and love it.)  He enjoys entering the tasks and also enjoys marking them complete because you earn points as the task is destroyed.  This simple act of enjoying crossing something off the task list is a major win in life!

The to-do list is fully-featured and supports repeating tasks, displays reminders for overdue events and allows time-critical events to be assigned to specific days, while more aspirational quests can be set to “someday” so you don’t lose sight of your goals.

Compatible with all iOS 5.0 or later devices.  $2.99 – Totally worth it!
